forget about the salary cap, it doesn't apply to AAA players. don't limit the salary when doing a search. It will convert all the AAA players you choose into a $200,000 salary for the game, no matter what the listed salary says. so just do your regular parameters you want (High BA, High OBP, etc) the list will populate with all available players and you pick who you want.
