How ****** or do you get ****** when someone makes boneheaded decisions/recruits poorly at your old school, especially the year after you leave?

I'm kind of there right now.  I was never staying at Georgia College (D2) in Knight...it was always New Orleans or bust, and I made it.  The guy that took over GC is starting rather shittily if you ask me.  He took over an A- prestige (it was an A when I left) and is preseason ranked #5.  He apparently cut a JUCO/Transfer Soph I signed last season (Cary Pippin, who has apparently been deleted from the game, which ****** me off as well) that was a #120 or #130 rank at C and filled the spot with... a walk-on...bravo!

He only had 2 other spots to fill and he doesn't even seem to get pulldowns/dropdowns, again with an A- prestige.  I'm not saying pulldowns/dropdowns are everything...but if you're not chasing/signing them with a B or higher prestige...you're a fool.  There are some D2 gems out there (I should know, I turned 1 into the NPOY) but these guys don't look like it...smh.

Any other stories like this or does anyone want to tell me I'm off my rocker.  Does the coach in question want to attempt to defend himself?  If any of you feel compelled, post something.

If you cared that much, then next time don't leave. It's his team now, not yours. It's kind of like getting mad at your ex girlfriend, because you told her that you could both start seeing other people, but then it's like you turning around and getting angry with her because she found a new guy. Seriously.

That's because the new guy is better looking. Wasn't counting on that.

Georgia College was just the launching pad to my dream job....I have no regrets about moving up, I've wanted to be at NO since at least March since they never had a human coach. I did the preceding coach proud I think...I don't forsee that being the case here

It's hard to replace a coach of your caliber. I am sure those kids were very attached to you after your two seasons at Georgia College.

tcole's record speaks well enough for itself. Somehow I think he'll manage to figure things out there just fine trevor.

I too looked at his resume, and I can't believe he's been as successful as he has.

+1

I thought he'd been there for awhile the way he cared.

It's about working prestige to your advantage...dude just lost by 17 to a sim last night because he's intent on playing "his guys" over better talent on the team, and that's fine...if you're a D prestige.  I'm not saying my recruits are great, but you could/should probably make the NT with what's there...and again, the guy he cut...what a toolbox...

It's bad form to critique other coaches coaching decisions on these forums.

Dude, tcole is honestly a really good coach. I'd say a better one than you.

Well he's about ready to tank a pretty good team at least for a season.  I'd say him and I are about equal, with a slight edge to me.

the numbers don't support that IMO.

tcole...133 seasons, 2535 wins, .655 win %, 49 NT bids, 62 NT wins, 49 CCs, 32 CTs

me...77 seasons, 1584 wins, .707 win %, 37 NT bids, 31 NT wins, 38 CCs, 18 CTs

really?

I make the NT at a better clip than he does.
