NFL should seed by record Topic

I can argue either side.    You said "Every single game 1-16 counts the same in the NFL".    I'd say they don't have the same weight based on divisions/conferences.

Every single game counts in CFB.   But they don't carry the same weight.

Pretty much the same situation.

Round and round we go....where it stops....nevermind.  It doesn't stop with Mikey.

I guess that depends if you ask him or the rest of the World. Openly admitting to arguing both sides of an issue, just to argue.

It was mostly your stupid statement that I was arguing.   Say something dumb, which you thought was prophetic, you might get called on it.

I have made these comments on here before, but there is a pretty solid chance a 13-3 team in the AFC is going to be on the road in the first round of the playoffs against a 10 win team.  That just seems silly to me.  Playoff seeding should be totally be record.  Division winners should get in the playoffs, but the team with the worst record should never be hosting a playoff game.
God this is funny right now. Why he based his argument on the AFC and not the NFC is mind numbing.

um exactly

BTW, if you guaranteed all division winners a playoff spot but seeded by record.  the playoff seedings would be:

AFC
Would be exactly the same as it is now.

NFC
1. Seattle
2. Green Bay
3. Dallas
4. Arizona
5. Detroit
6. Carolina

So Dallas as the 3 seed would play the worst team, i.e. Carolina instead of being forced to play a much better team i.e. Detroit and Arizona would be hosting Detroit.

And Seattle/Green Bay would still meet in the NFC Championship game.
