rodman is a monster...hes even better in draft leagues...you can find really good scoring options later in the draft...dirk almost didnt get drafted

Hmm....even better yet has never won?

and Gilmore is better than Moses due to lower negatives while giving more D with more assists and shooting better.

See this is why I want to have a shot at the top 5;)

Gilmore has more fouls than Moses and doesn't have more D
1/8/2014 6:22 PM
"and Gilmore is better than Moses due to lower negatives"

moses - 3.2 fp48
gilmore - 4.1 fp48

moses - 4.6 top48 but 23.4usg%
gilmore - 3.9 top48 only 19.6usg%

"while giving more D"

moses - 80d
gilmore - 80d

gilmore does have better blk/stl%s but he is only a 65 guarding pfs and moses has the lower fp48

"with more assists and shooting better"

hes got him on fg% and ast%..but not by much

id still rather take the higher usg% and all the ftas moses gets you

Evals done.

Shame on you guys for not drafting Clifford Ray.  His 1872 minute season is fantastic despite the high fouls.

This is the Gilmore you should be talking about.  No, he is not better than Moses:

The evals mean nothing when they are incomplete. Thanks for nothing.

Thanks for the evals ash

ash thanks for the evals.  Couldn't pass on Bynum in the 4th Rd. and then I had the same reaction wtf do I do now?
thought about Bob at SF but yeah with the low usage Wallace might fit on offense and then play around with the
def settings and see if Wallace can defend 4 or 5.  Not exactly sure if that works but maybe I'll make the playoffs in
this league for once.
1/9/2014 12:20 PM
Thanks ash. I don't think my team will be as terrible as you do, but my usage is extremely low.  Let's just say I'm testing the boundaries of low it can go and a team still be successful.  It's not that much lower than penn's team was last year, though.

You guys did convince me to change my Kirilenko and Payton seasons in an attempt to get a little more usage out there. Who knows if it will have any effect.

Being a 3 time league champ I would be happy to evaluate your team 98average . . . when time allows. I am very busy at the moment.

Ash, evals were a good read, thanks for doing them. I'd give myself the same type of grade if doing an eval that was not based on my own assumptions regarding what the Sim will produce. We will see what happens with Durant, given that he will never see less than 75% assists and will be over 100% at times should produce an efg bump, let alone keep him above RL. And he will have two 4-point guys on the court with him most of the time, so the individual penalty, in theory, will be avoided.

Tar, what version of Payton did you use? In the last Equal Opp league I took Sea/Okc with the 24th pick. Used KD, Allen, Evans from my team here, but Payton tanked my squad. Still won like 45 but missed the playoffs on a tiebreaker. He was very frustrating to own and stole far too many shots from Allen and KD. For your team I expect him to have many a "bad Kobe" type game, which I'm sure you know what that means.

One more note from evals, KD is a 78 and 100% at PF and 95% at C, plus Prince is 80D and 100% at the 2,3 and 4. Evans and Unseld will both see time guarding the 3 against teams with elite inside scoring and my perimeter D has the 90 West, 70 Deron and both KD and Prince. Plus Prince literally fouls just over ONE time per game and KD has an ultra low pf rate as well, so foul-magnet bigs are not likely to flourish against me and my D is better than it may appear to be.

My final note about fouls and something to observe is this: in the PPL season 1 Lucas had about a foul a game higher than RL. My team had Mark Price, and a few other really low pf rate guys (the group as a whole was low, but not sub-.06 like this squad). I've also tried teams with something in the .07 pf range before and the individual player with the highest RL pf rate had his increase by a significant amount each time, however I also loaded those teams with long range shooters that had RL FGA/FTA ratios in the 4+ range. If the ratio does not really matter then Evans will likely foul out a number of times under his 24mpg and West will have issues as well, but if the ratio does matter then my team average FGA/FTA ratio of about 2.5 to 1 should prevent this.

For the those that care this team should actually provide at least some insight into how the engine really does deal with the FTA battle and pf distribution, even if it is only an 82 game sample size, (plus of course the 3-rounds of playoffs :)

nate, I think you're going to have a very erratic season - you will win some games due to the FTA ratio but just as often if not more often I suspect you wont get that much of an advantage and you will be losing the possession battle routinely

Who were the top 4 teams last year?  Im case I need to do rankings.  Thx

Ya know I haven't looked at Moses in so long I had forgotten his stats.  Thanks for the corrections.  I still kinda like Artis a bit more for some reason.  Personal preference I guess.
