What does this mean?  These players would not all be available in the first draft?  Why these guys and not Jordan,etc.  I am new to progressives.

Basically my issue with all of these open pool progressives.. like the old UPL, the PPL, ash's league.. has been the lack of hope  for teams past the first draft.

Yes, the draft pool is large but there is a reason guys were not taken in the first draft. Especially in this one, anyone with any super seasons will be taken and stashed on a bench somewhere in season 1.

So, my idea was to divide up some stars to split up in the subsequent 4 drafts.

DH wanted to limit it to guys with just 1-2 great years and not remove some of the best from the initial draft. Either way, any talent we can hold back for later drafts I think would be good. 

Would we be able to start our first draft players anywhere in their career, first year, first 3/5 years...? I'm sure this will clear up some of the confusion (at least for me).

 

You can use any season... any season.

Just no repeats.

So you could start with MJ in 88-89 then go back to 84-85 then forward to 92-93.. whatever..
