"Rounders".....draft underway...taking wait list. Topic

Hadn't checked this inn a while.  Actually thought it might die on the vine.  But glad to see there is some interest swelling.

So welcome to bigjc, ljemd, cardsfan & yargespd1 as owners #7, #8, #9, #10.

Need just 6 more to get it going.  Once we get to 14, I'll sitemail everybody to make sure they still have interest, given the time it's taken since the original post.  Then we'll start the push to fill it up and get the initial draft going.

Hey I'd like to get on board and help move this along!   It seems like your draft formula has potential for the player shortage issue .I also prefer having the more old fashioned and separate pair of eight team leagues because natural rivalries develop and the regular season can be as important as the playoffs....

... just maybe a heads-up to toysboys...... actually ' irregardless ' is a perfectly legit word , Merriam-Webster (ca. 1912) prob. blend of irrespective and regardless

Welcome dh0220 as owner #12.

And, welcome brian1648 as owner #13.   You can have County Stadium if you draft it in the inaugural draft.  See the rules on page 1 of this thread.

COULD WE GET SOME FEEDBACK ON THIS?

I am in if we can draft cities, not stadiums.  I sitemailed the commish with the suggestion that we draft cities, and then use any stadium that was used in that city from 1885-1950/60.  I just feel that if we're using "ancient" players that we should be able to use "ancient" stadiums as well.  Putting these old guys in 1950 parks just doesn't seem right to me.
As far as cities with two teams (NY & Chicago) then when an owner drafts the city they could also specify the stadium, in order to keep stadiums unique.

This doesn't seem like it should be a big deal, but for some of us who've had many teams in stadiums in the 50's & 60's it would be a nice change.   I'm in if we're not restricted to 1940's/50's/60's stadiums.  The commish seemed amenable to this idea, but I think he wanted some feedback from owners who had already signed up.

What do any of you think?

I would support this if the majority agrees.
