Perhaps the team had done something that annoyed the coach and he called the timeout to make his players get back on the court and make a point to them.Perhaps the other coach had annoyed him and he was going to rub it in by trying to see if he could set up a scoring play with one second left. Perhaps a player had a special connection to the city and he wanted him on the court for the finish of the game. Who knows? Is it really that important for a bit of fluff that effected precisely nothing?
