also, fwiw, I plan on doing some weird stuff if you guys let me.

ps - y'all didn't let me.  So don't look for hidden meaning in what's there.

Not sure if there is any point to renewing my comments about Peja Stojakovic, shooting guard, but.......How on earth does he drop to the 5th round?

There are two drastically undervalued players in the sim.
1.) Rodman, reliably 20 rebounds a game, whose only defect is he doesn't score. But, also doesn't foul, turn the ball over, and plays defense.
2.) Stojakovic, reliably 26 points a game, whose only defect is he doesn't play defense. But who doesn't foul, or turn the ball over .And when you play him 99% at the 2, is an ok rebounder for the position.

You can cover Rodman's weakness with some realiable shooters. you can cover Pejas with a couple of 90+ defenders to help on double teams, for instance, Blaylock and Nance.

What that doesnt show you is that starting 5 is over 15000 minutes with a two to one team A\T ratio and only 1022 fouls. Plus 2 40% perimeter, 3 40% mid range and 3 40% paint guys so no hanky panky with the positioning.

a bit heavy on usage?

i like a lot of what u'r doin' here though... except for peja, no matter where ya stick him. but zelmo's a keeper in the odl. so is mookie. like u said, good balance.

How is Rodman undervalued? He's a consistent top 5 pick. I've seen him go #1 before.

Been a while since I've seen anyone win with Peja, so good luck on that - he used to be a SIM staple (I can't remember if his D fell in an update, or he just fell out of favor, or what).  Good SG will kill you, but Peja could make up for it on offense.

BTW, that looks like an awfully expensive starting five for this league. You built the 12-man roster yet to make sure you can get at least over 1900 minutes without taking total scrubs?

6 mil left. gettin' short of cash... 15k mins, but drebs (4457) and orebs (1524) look pretty good. lots of 3's (379) and dimes too (2134), and very low fouls (881) average t.o's (1087). solid efg%. not a bad starting five.

def: 83, 30, 70, 80, 34  hmmm...

there is the other ryan anderson version... 400k cheaper, same number of 3's made, good boards, 2500 (60 more) mins but 25 def. will tinker a bit.

Fair point tarheel- I may go with a cheaper Blaylock season (better assists anyway) so I can free up 6.5 mil for 4000 bench minutes.

Oh, and helpful tip: NEVER eat flaming hot Thai curry (we have an awesome Thai restaurant in this town) and follow it up later with maple donuts. (we have an awesome donut shop....) Just saying.

love peja....but it sucks hiding him on d....move him on a pg and he drops from a 34 to the low 20s...and when you play nance on sgs he drops from his 100

Looking like I'll be able to stay over 42 oreb% and 112 dred%, pretty sure a creb% of 150%+ most of the time will fair a little better than my current dh$52 squad.

rebounds look great, but you're gonna take a hit elsewhere for them. You gotta stop with these singular-theme squads, lol
2/8/2014 8:09 PM
Starting 5:

Usg: 118.5 (18 pts)
Creb: 131.6
Ast: 75.4
Def: 95.8 avg
FTA: 1,998

Roll tide.

(probably too many fouls and not enough threes, but that's nothing new)

the defensive ratings and positional flexibility of the 300lb butterball Miller is another one of WIS's nonsensical gems - 85-90d (>>>Bill Russell, mind you)? yes Virginia, there is a seble-clause

2/8/2014 9:42 PM
16.9 usg / 55.9 efg / 11.5-23.1 rebs / 7.9 ast / 90 D not too shabby for a 5th round pick. He isn't the cleanest player at 6.7 fp48, but we come from the school of "If you ain't foulin', you ain't playin' defense!"

Big O, aka The Overstock.com, aka Spaghetti O, aka Miller-Boyett, aka Big Men Shouldn't Wear Small Numbers...
