Not so much.   DE hardly ever run 40 yards in a straight line.  In track clothes.

But Sam was projected to be a 3rd-5th round pick before coming out.   I don't really care what anyone says, that took him off some boards.   Some teams don't need the distraction of "How is your team handling the gay guy in the locker room situation?" nonsense.   So 3-5 probably become 5-7.    And teams aren't interested in a media circus for a 6th round pick(which is why Tebow can't even get a sniff when we know he's got to be better than some back-ups).

My guess is he gets drafted.   And he better show something because he's not going to stick around on "potential".
Tebow can't get a sniff because he's freaking terrible!

Watching Mizzu play.  The kid has a knack for being around the ball (pun intended).  He lwas co-defensive MVP in the SEC.  That speaks volumes.  Yes, DL/LB's can and will be part of special teams play.

Like you said, some teams will stay away.

Look at draftbreakdown.com.   Pull up Sam against the better teams.   He'll be single blocked and won't be much of a factor.    But he ripped up Ark and Ark State.

He's just not quick enough.   And he won't be a special teams player because of that.

I won't get into a Tebow argument but he gives teams a better chance to win that many of the clipboard holders in the NFL.   Thing is, they're cheaper and no one is clamoring for Matt McGloin or Tavaris Jackson to get into the game.

Those 2 guys you listed don't deserve to be on any teams practice squad.
