I predict baseball season will come and go without me caring, and that the Mariners will be out of the race by June.
+1
+2... but I think that the idea of the M's being in a race in June, still, is very optimistic.

The Rangers injuries may have opened the door for the Mariners to take 3rd but the M's starting rotation is atrocious after King Felix.

Adam Jones' last two seasons were almost identical, with low 30s HR, around 100 RBI and low teens SB. Jumping up to 40 HR, 120 RBI and 20 SB seems unlikely. And even if he does, he still won't be close to Mike Trout's production.
How have things worked out for Trout the last 2 years? Angels aren't sniffing the playoffs and that matters to a lot of voters.
What a weird response. It worked out for Trout that he finished second in MVP voting in back-to-back years. Certainly far better than Jones, which is what the discussion is about.

My NL Cy Young pick allowed 3 runs in his 1st inning and my NL MVP pick has a concussion in the 2nd inning.

Well, he's staying in. MLB doesnt have concussion protocols like NFL I guess.

Aside from the AL East (damn.) I did ok so far.  And Cincy was disappointing.  My awards guys...eh.

Yea, Adam Jones for MVP, right guys?...

And yea, the Orioles continue to surprise me.  Did not expect them to pitch so well this year.

Playoffs I won't predict this early because they depend too much on who's hot at the end of the season.  At least give me 'til the trade deadline.  If I had to hazard a guess, Tigers over the Giants in the WS 4-2.  Giants came in 4-3 over the Cards, Tigers over the Sox 4-2.

AL MVP: Same as last year, with pressure from Trout again and Prince Fielder
NL MVP: Giancarlo Stanton
AL CY: Same as last year; boring year for the AL with Scherzer and Miggy repeating
NL CY: Cliff Lee

All things considered, if you ignore the AL East, this was pretty darn good...

No idea about ROY, don't know enough about the candidates to make a prediction.

Also, Scosia and Washington will be fired during or at the end of the season
not too bad...I had 8 out of 10 teams that are in the playoffs . Did not do so well on the awards
