Bernie Sanders supporters may be “feeling the Bern” for their own candidate, but nearly half are planning to give Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton the cold shoulder in November.

A YouGov poll released on Wednesday showed that 45 percent of Democrats who preferred Sanders in the primary, do not plan on voting for Clinton in the general.

Supporters of the Vermont senator are extremely divided; 18 percent said they plan on voting for a third-party candidate like Jill Stein of the Green Party, 15 percent would support the presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump, 9 percent were unsure, and 3 percent do not plan on voting at all.

Explain the stages of grief again, and then apply here.
No argument there - once Bernie is out of the race these opinions will change. The only difference being Trump is much more energetic and has some appeal to the Sanders crowd. Hillary is dull and boring, supported by big banks, and part of the political machine.... I do think a good chunk of Sanders supporters when given a choice between Hillary and Trump, will vote Trump.

What ever your smoking Moy, how about sharing? No way in hell a Bernie supporter votes for Trump.
I don't understand how you can possibly make that claim -- did you see the polling data in West Virginia recently about how Sanders supporters would vote if Hillary got the nomination?

Sanders and Trump happen to agree on trade, on the inadvisability of interventionism, the need to rebuild the US infrastructure, and they're both non-establishment figures. I've seen all kinds of polls about Sanders supporters voting for Trump if Hillary gets the nomination. If I were a Sanders supporter, I would be so furious with the nomination process that I think I'd feel even more animosity towards Hillary (and also Debbie Wasserman Schultz). Hillary's electoral strategy has mainly been to copy Sanders' platform and claim it's actually hers. That's self evident. Isn't it?...
