Actually I miscalculated. Jodie would make 1198. I have it as '08 CC, '10 Kuroda, '11 Nova, and '11 Pineda. Bullpen goes Thornton, Robertson, Phelps, Warren, Kelley, Claiborne, and 200k Jodie. You just kind of run out of innings..

Sorry nattyboy and all3. I knew it would be hard for some teams to get all the spots filled that is why I set the league at 16 teams. The AAA players can probably cover a decent amount of the innings gap.

Possible solution to the PA/IP shortage issue: increase the cap to 90 mil and allow teams to pick one pitcher and one hitter from their franchise history but the salary for each can't be more than 5 mil. Or increase the cap to 85 mill and make 2.5 mill for each franchise player. Just food for thought.

I'd rather use players of my own choosing rather than rely on assigned AAA players where "luck of the draw" becomes a factor.

Count me in with the Pirates if we can get to 20 or 24 teams. I really struggled to get to 80MM would rather compete against a larger pool than just the more stacked teams.

After looking at more rosters, we may have a really hard time filling with the current parameters. What are everyones thoughts on tribe fan's idea to allow a historical player?

Good idea if there is added cap space added. I have been able to fill all 25 slots but fall short with 5006 PA and 1391 IP. I have one top-tier SP, one top-tier RP and the rest of the pitching staff is mediocre or worse. I have two top-tier hitters, a couple others that I had to take a weaker version of(in order to meet the 80M cap)  and the rest mediocre or worse. Many of the hitters and pitchers will struggle during the season because of their low PA or IP even if their BA or OBP or other stats are good.

Adding a bonus player will be a problem in that I am already up against the 80M cap.

I think its a good idea. I am also close to 80 now but think it would be fun to move things around and add some depth. Keeping at 80M will make people make tough decisions and get more teams to participate.

I like the concept of allowing 1 historical player up to 5 mil, but maybe in keeping closer to the  2014 theme we could limit it to someone who played for franchise back to year 2000 (or whatever # makes sense), and not twisted - an actual season for that franchise.   Wouldn't make much sense for example to have Babe Ruth in this league.  I like the cap where it is at 80 mil.
