We've rolled and the following teams are available:

Anaheim  taken knucklebones

This once storied (or at least mostly competitive) franchise is due for a rebuild.  I would say that the rebuild has already started, but the last couple of seasons haven't produced any significant draft picks or IFAs.  There is some pitching talent here, and some decent offense, but most owners would probably be best served by trading off some of the aging players to restock the farm (or just get younger).  On the bright side, Kenneth Sherman will be available to man first base for the next 8 years or so.

Buffalo  taken dapperduck

Florida

A funny thing happened while the last owner was trying to rebuild....he kept winning.  Anyway, he did a heck of a job of selling off parts and rebuilding the once empty farm system, so while there's not a ton of talent down there, it doesn't require a total rebuild.  You could take the previous owner's strategy of plugging in some bargain pieces here and there while competing for the wild card (forget winning the division....my team is in that division ;-)) or take a more aggressive rebuild approach.

San Diego taken drejday

Help!  No, not really.  While this franchise was left several seasons ago with a crumbling, aging ML roster and absolutely nothing in the minors, it will have it's 4th straight top 4 draft pick this season (and the previous owners didn't swing and miss on the others).  None of the draft talent has made it to the ML level yet, but it's coming.  Speaking of the ML level, you'd be hard pressed to find less talent than this team has.  Putting together a competitive team the first season will be a bit of a challenge.

St Louis  taken googooman

This franchise is ready to go.  Long term owner just retired from the team and left it with talent in the majors (including MacBeth) and a balanced minor league system. You should be able to compete for the division with just a couple of minor tweeks.

Washington taken armount

After having an exceptional long term owner, this franchise has gone through three owners in three seasons and it shows.  Weak draft position wasn't helped by some swings as misses, leaving the minors a little shallow.  The ML level has some ok younger talent and could be made into a contender by a good owner.  Also has a top 10 pick to start the rebuilding of the minors.

Houston

High payroll, aging talent....is there another run in this franchise?  Last owner thought he was going to tear it down after the all star break last season....until the team went on a TEAR.  Scared the crap out of me.  One minute I've got this comfortable 12 game lead, next minute I have to win a big series against Houston late in the season to hang on.  With the number of FA that need to be resigned, the age of the team, and the payroll needed to do so, another run might prove too difficult.  However, if you decide to tear it down, the remaining talent is more than enough to rebuild the minors (although you might want to keep James and Alvarez).  Win-Win.

Nashville taken willsauve

Memphis
