Maybe you should trying defining people by the standards set by the man who said the above statement.  He's was kind of famous and well respected.  But he was murdered, because of the color of his skin.

You should tell black children that they are doomed to fail because of the color of their skin.    I'm sure that would be a great motivator.

Should we compare drug use statistics by race (roughly equal) to arrests for drug possession by race (just a hint, not equal)?

Or look at the racial make up of the Senate.

Or CEOs of Fortune 500 companies?

Or income and poverty stats in general?

Which removes the excuse for non-whites.  It must be some other variable that is making them unsuccessful.
