dlchow:

Bob Ross had 31 IP for the 1951 Senators. I assumed he would be in the database. My apologies.
6/5/2014 7:54 AM
No problem. I thought he'd be in the database too, and couldn't find him.

Verification:

1. Jordan Tata - not in database.  Tata's>>Kate Upton>>teammate 2007 Justin Verlander
2. 1997 Blue Jays = one of the better Roger Clemens seasons + Mike Timlin (space-filler)
3. Eduardo Villacis - not in database.  Teammate Rudy Seanez 2004 Royals
4. 2008 Dodgers hitters = 2008 Mannywood (Manny Ramirez) and Russell Martin
5. 1893 shortstops = tough draw!   Starter Jack Glasscock (one of few with respectable defensive stats) and back-up Charlie Irwin
6. Central State University = another great draw - exactly 2 players to choose from.  1970 Jim Wynn (very underrated player) and 1987 Eddie Milner (not a fan)
7. 1968 NL 1B's.  I was going to complain (again) until I saw Willie McCovey (defense-schmefense) and bench-player Don Pavletich
8. 1912 AL hitters - starting 3-bagger Larry Gardner and Red Sox teammate back-up catcher Les Nunamaker (we have some great names on this team)
9. Jon Lester + second typical very-average Red Sox SP from current era Clay Buchholz.
10. Dave Smith + Astro ace Mike Scott
11. Marty Griffin + equally bad 1928 Red Sox teammate OF George Loepp
12. Ozzie Canseco - you know how the Bash Bros. roll: JOSE!! 1990 season.

Wildcard:  1998 Jeff Kent.  You always need at least one Survivor contestant on the team.
Stadium:  Fenway Park

Maybe the worst wild card player ever chosen in this theme, but only had $830k left and based on how team came together, definitely needed a homer-preventing park.

A lot of tough, but fun decisions.  This is one of the best themes to play in because it really makes you think.   You'll be able to roster some great players and/or some of your favorites, but everyone will also be forced to roster some stiffs that you never thought that you'd ever draft.  This is most fun I've had in building a team of any leagues that I've played in!
