same season but  going with the slightly more potent 31 mpg version (+ 1% efg +1% drbd +1 drtg) taking minutes at the 3&4

It's an experiment but I don't think I quite get into the high assist sweet spot which I think is north of 100% + Gus Johnson shooting 47% is 3rd most likely to take shots - lottery here I come

I will be using the 27.4 usage version of DH so that he is always the highest usage player on the floor. I agree that Payton's and Drexler's low EFG%'s may be problematic. I almost took Drexler in round 2 and just couldn't resist taking him in round 3 at # 57. If Payton hadn't been available at # 40 I was strongly consideing taking Kobe there and taking either Terry Porter or Horace Grant in round 3. But. I've only seen 1 Kobe Bryant team win here.

My contention has always been that Payton is a better player than Chauncey Billups in this league and since I had never used him here I wanted to try it. Plus, taking Billups in the 2nd round to pair up with DH would have been a copy cat move taken from LTB's championship team and I didn't want to do that. In round 6 I took Redd and Sabonis to get the added scoring punch off of the bench. One subtle detail going for this team is the very low turnovers and fouls per 48 minutes that Payton, Drexler, Mason and Redd have going for them. Dale Davis isn't that bad either.

thanks for the eval sly i really didnt enjoy drafting at the top of the draft. i just felt like from the start that i had no options that i really liked. also i don't think my team really needs a PG if you have assists all around and it been proven before that you dont need a PG to win. Although i agree that this team is to week in to many areas to get 40+ wins and compete for playoffs

Good job on the evals sly. IMO 13-14 Melo is a better rebounding 51D version of Kobe. One combo he brings that is hard to find in the sim is a 40 pct high volume bomber that not only never turns the ball over but also gets to the stripe a ton. Most guys with his 3-point numbers never draw a foul, or have sub-50D, or no passing and or rebounding. This Melo brings a very unique mix.

But............ as you know....... guys with high FTA never reach their numbers.
