Due to the great participation in the inaugural edition of the Inter-World Cup, I'd like to begin sign-ups for round two!  This time around, I'd like it to run a bit more like the UEFA Champions League (with home and away through the semi-finals) rather than the World Cup style tournament I ran last time.  In order to accommodate a wider variety of owners, I would like to accept only 1 team from owners who have multiple usernames first before accepting seconds (I do not anticipate accepting very many second teams from the same users).  Please post your intent to play here by June 27th, at which time I will begin accepting owners' second choice teams.  Please advertise on your World Chat to get the word out since the traffic out here on the forums might not be too heavy.  Once we have 32, I will attempt to sort the teams out into 8 evenly matched groups of 4 teams (as we learned last time, any attempt at ranking teams from different leagues/worlds is a difficult proposition).  I'll also try to group teams in a manner that would not result in them playing somebody from within their league/world in the early stages of the tourney.  First come first served!  If you'd like to play, please plan on scheduling your challenges in a timely manner; nobody likes a drawn out tournament or a forfeiture due to an unresponsive team.

I would also recommend that any team in its first season wait to participate until the next tournament unless your world is close to the end of its season and you'll get to bring in your first complete free agent class before/early in the tournament.  However, you're more than welcome to give it a go if you really want to.
