Challenge #4: A Day at the Races – Monmouth Park Haskell Stakes
(Entries must be submitted by the team captain. Make sure to submit to all 3 hosts. No kill picks are needed)
Deadline:
Sunday at 1pm EST
This Sunday, there will be a full day of horse racing at Monmouth Park, leading up to the $1,000,000 Haskell Stakes. Television coverage will occur on NBC from 5-6pm EST. Nine races are selected below (Races 4-12 on the Sunday Monmouth racing card). The early odds are also posted, but will change as post-time approaches. Keep an eye out for scratches…if any of your horses do not race, then tough luck!
Teams will pick one horse from each race and that horse will receive a $2 across-the-board bet (win, place, and show). The Haskell Stakes (Race 12) will be a $10 bet, so you will receive 5x the payout compared to the other races. The team with the most combined money won is the winner.

Power Play: There are two secret horses for this challenge. If one or both of these horses are picked by your team, it will be a “risk-free” bet. That means the minimum payout for each of these horses is $6, even if they do not finish in the top 3. Clues to the secret identity of these horses will be sent to survivors of the last elimination challenge.
To clarify, each team picks one horse per race.
Tie-breaker #1: Number of races that had a horse in the top 3 (no submission needed)
Tie-breaker #2: Payout of the $1 Trifecta bet on the Haskell Stakes – Race #12 (captain must submit amount)
