Swell. so I go to the dentist with a toothache expecting him to tell me, oh you've got a cavity and we'll take care of it pronto. Nooooooooo. After an emergency double root canal, I come home only to find that I've been drilled again and again. Bad enough to lose Piazza but then Olerud. Looks like another lost season for the Mutts. So we're going in a different direction.

Wow, I was dead set on losing some Bullpen guys or at least 1, good to go through the whole draft somewhat unscathed.

JJ Putz was definitely my pick of the best relievers available, but Piazza (and daulton, for that matter) were too good to pass up with Posada gone.

I actually am shocked you took Piazza with Munson still in the stable. He is a much better defensive catcher and in one of his good years, 70 & 73 come to mind, normalizes out pretty well against modern pitching.
