A better way, imho, would be for him to make up his pick based off the person scheduled before him (Matt Mantei) and working off the black list/taken list we all use.

If you want to fork over 500K, sure. But I think it's going to be hard enough to stay under the cap and get a good team as it is.

The chain was broken already.  Just my thoughts, that's all.

I wouldnt give him another option(back of the draft), I would just make him pick right where he WAS(even though the next guy broke the chain).
We cant give anyone an advantage by missing a pick.

How I was going to handle the situation was in the original rules you all read (skimmed over). To me, there's no one great way to handle it. Sure, if you don't like your pick you could just wait 24 hours. (I would hope you wouldn't) But there is the 500 K fine which, trust me, is substantial, especially if you start thinking about it doing it more than once. And there certainly is no guarantee you're going to get a better player later on when most are just basically rounding out their roster. Besides that, I'm pretty confident specsman was not intentionally trying to miss his pick.

Another thing, guys PLEASE send sitemails (with possible picks or not) when you do know you wont be able to be on for a substantial period of time and your pick is within the next 1-4 picks.
