My wife and I have talked about this a lot. I keep going back to my youth with my Baseball Stars game on NES. The music changed when runners were in scoring position to an upbeat background music. I would get all excited because I knew I could score a run.

It still works when I hear the music...I could hear this blaring at the minor league park that I would inevitably be playing at.
