Affect of location of D1 powerhouses. Topic

is it wierd that I want a job like purdue or indiana just to feel the pain of recruiting? I've seen some success at those schools before, You have the extra cash it really in those cases comes down to picking the right battles and scouting the right players (potential). I've noticed when coaches miss on a player or 2 it can set them back 2-3 seasons unless they force cut and take a reputation hit.

EDIT: I also looked up purdue on baseline prestige and they are listed at B+ Higher than a lot of other B10 Schools. For reference here is the list.
A+ Michigan State
A+ Illinois
A- Indiana
A- Wisconsin
B+ Ohio State
B+ Purdue
B Iowa
B Michigan
B Minnesota
B Notre Dame
B- Penn State
B- Northwestern

I can understand dodging  Northwestern or PennSt or even Notre Dame but Purdue and Indiana can be quick turn arounds  if you hit on recruits and make a few post seasons. When one of those schools drops to a C or C- like inn the world I am in, I am surprised than coaches don't jump on a big6 chance to turn it around quickly and be a big6 coach. Now i'll say not everyone is as crazy as me and wants to be in a big6 job so bad but you know. There are some looneys out there.
