I vote for 30 teams.

The decision has been made!

Draft order for each season is going to be determined by the payroll.

Lowest payroll drafts first, highest payroll drafts last.

Win the World Series with the lowest payroll and get the first draft pick.
Lose the most games with the lowest payroll and get the first draft pick
Win 81 games with the lowest payroll and blah blah blah!

Trading is allowed - AFTER the season starts
and Owners have the ability to VETO any trades
( 6 ) Vetoes nullifies a trade

Trading for draft picks is allowed
You must have a minimum of ( 1 )player accompany the trade so,
everyone keeps 25 players on their rosters.

We are at 23 Owners at the moment and I do NOT have anyone nibbling.
I would like to give the league until Sunday Dec. 13 to try for 30 owners.
Weekends promote the most activity so, I'd like to go through one more.

If by noon Sunday the 13th we have no shot at 30, I'll send a ticket to SIM and
reduce our league to 24.
Also at that time I'll get the LIVE DRAFT TOOL started by Tuesday 15th or Wednesday 16th
Followed with Instructions on how to use the TOOL for those that are VIRGINS!

I want to thank all of you for being so patient
I would also like to thank you guys that made the suggestions
that formulated this opinion on how we run our league

I honestly think you guys have come up with a plan that will stop any complaints
and that is a huge task.
The guys in this league should run this country

GOD BLESS AMERICA!

I would like the 2011 Minnesota Twins as a second team. If you are only allowing one team per owner--please drop the 1971 Phillies and reserve the Twins for me.

Randy is in with 2 teams giving us 24!

danidon is returning giving us 25
With the understanding that if we don't reach 30 Teams by Sun. 12/13
then those above 24 teams will be returned
unless we that close to 30, like 28 or 29.

Agreed?

Grayfoxx would like to discuss owners with 200K guys ti fill spots for the WAA AAA players
that will fill them.
and an amount of money those spots should be charged towards the Total payroll

Payroll is now important since that is the deciding factor for draft positions.
We have til Sunday to work it out.

How does the 200,000 players work? Are they in addition to our AAA players. Are they players from the team we drafted?
Later,
Jeff

If you have a team with less than 24 players to bring to the table.

You must add a couple 200K scrubs to make 24
then draft a player and your at 25
Then send the scrubs down to AAA for a couple of WAA AAA Hotties

2 teams need to do this
the 1917 STL Browns need 2
and 1920 Detroit Tigers need 3
just to have 24 on their rosters.

The question by Grayfoxx is,
I'll let him tell you, I've got Borscht on the table.
12/9/2015 3:12 PM
I think the question has been answered. Any team needing scrubs to get to 24 can use $200K guys from the season they are using, BUT, they cannot use these guys as future upgrades (just in case there was a Babe Ruth or a Cy Young having a $200K season available)

Thanks

OK, forgive me if some of these have been answered already. I'm sort of interested.

1. Let's say I pick the '93 A's. In season 1, I twist Eck to 1990. (Counts as 1 twist). What happens in season 2? Is Eck essentially 1990 Eck forever now? It doesn't cost me a twist in season 2 if I want to use 1990 Eck? But if I want to use 1978 Eck, then I need to use a 2nd twist?

2. Are you able to twist players on your initial roster who didn't get 25 innings or 50 ABs? Curt Young is on the '93 As but only pitched 14.1 innings. Is he able to be twisted to a season where you can use him?
12/10/2015 9:58 AM
Just to be clear I used the 93' A's because Fatboydad has already picked them.
So we are only using them as an example.

Season 1 you twist Eck to 1990., he will remain 1990 through all 7 seasons unless
you use a 2nd twist to change him to a different season.
You have a maximum of 16 twists to use over the course of 7 seasons.
Answer to your question 1 - Yes! exactly as you stated it.

Question 2
NO! If you find a player was on the roster ( Curt Young) that team and that year BUT,
SIM doesn't qualify him to download,
You can NOT use him.

SIM did not download as part of the team, when you search 93' A's roster, Goose Gossage.
But, he was on the team that season and you are able to download the 716K version.
Gossage IS available for use and a twist.

OK, that makes sense. One more question. (I'll still use the 93 A's but I know they're not available)

For the 1-round draft... order is done by salary. Is that *after* the twists are done?

Meaning, the 93 A's salary as they start out, (say 70mil) or the 93 A's salary with Eck, Rickey and Mcgwire twisted (say 90mil)?
12/10/2015 12:21 PM
The draft order is made AFTER the twists are made.
12/10/2015 12:38 PM
Makes sense. I want to get in on this. Give me some time to figure out a team.
12/10/2015 12:43 PM
YES!
