You can draft whoever you want regardless of what league they actually played in. The DH is only being used by our American League teams and that is the only reason you need to designate AL or NL. In a championship the DH is used in the American League stadium just like in real life.
Correct. Thanks for the assist.

DH used in all American League games, as well as interleague games played in AL parks. Same usage as actual MLB...

OK, I am in. AL please.

Jump in, guys (or gals !). This is a well conceived league with some very good participants signed up.

What would you like to trade?

Only 6 or so aces. I would like one of the aces. So picks for picks to try to grab an ace. If I don't get a high draft pick. I have no idea how to play a theme league, but I'm sure an ace pitcher is valuable.

I'm sure that everyone else would too.

In the draft we will have access to many good to great players. Actually though, these progressive teams resemble an average or bit better team. You will have ups and downs on your roster. Not every season will you have a juggernaut. Some seasons the drafts tend to be thin. After the first couple of rounds the talent remaining are decent but not great.

I posted the 1962 player list on page 1. The 1910 list is under construction.

As you can see, many good players to select from. That'll get whittled down quickly, then you'll be sifting thru what's left over, trying to find a 4th or 5th starter, or perhaps a good middle reliever...

Here's an example. Is a pitching staff from my team in another league. Decent but not great. A couple of retreads that give me enough innings. They're decent but certainly not rock stars...

Even guys like Dimaggio and Pujols have off years. Some guys take a season or two before their good seasons kick in.

Why 1910 and 1962?
2/15/2016 2:44 PM
I wanted 2 seasons quite a bit apart. It'll take quite awhile for 1910 and 1962 to evolve into 1962 and 2014...I didn't want to go too far back into the deadball years. 1962 puts us right smack into some great seasons...we'll have the 20's/70's, 30's/80's, then the war years and 90's...there's a lot of contrast...these first few years we will have some excellent pitching, plus expansion of the late 60's...
