trump talks about 4 major agendas - lower corporate rates...lower income rates..... massive.infrastructure with bigly jobs......military........ i cant see how all 4 can be done without massive loss of revenue...it should be interesting to see what is or isnt done once he gets a dose of reality.
The labor participation rate is gawdawful. If the economy booms, many jobs will be created. More people working, paying taxes, less people on the entitlements. More business revenue creates more tax revenue.
Higher tax rates do not equal higher tax revenue. Not when so many are out of work, when business revenue is flat. You have to look beyond the basic unemployment number. Underemployment is just as or even more important. Many people lost full time employment, are working more hours at lower wage jobs just to survive. And lost in the discussion are those people who have left the job marketplace. Minorities see their numbers far worse, their situation is dire...
