if it wasnt dirty politics wouldnt it make sense to fix aca instead of sabotaging it........the people want it ........pino trump , we now know beyond a reasonable doubt, is an inveterate liar....he never told the truth when he said he would never cut medicaid.....it was a lie when he said it...he doesnt give a damn about anyone who isnt in his neighborhood.
I don't pin this entirely on Trump. His party is in the pocket of billionaire donors who demand tax cuts for the rich. Ryan and McConnell were never going let Trump fix health care if it meant people like the Koch brothers had to pay a penny more in taxes.

Bah, this is archaic (aka, newspeak to create class division) thinking about the GOP. Seriously, there aren't enough billionaires to create any meaningful voting bloc... Most in the GOP are more libertarian in their thinking, just trying to stem the flow of government intervention/oversight into every detail of our private life (and the free/subsidized ride that several seem to enjoy on the government dole).

Whatever happened to EARNING A LIVING? When did it become GOVERNMENT NEEDS TO TAKE CARE OF ME?

todd, I don't say that you personally are obsessed with cutting taxes for the rich, or even most people who vote Republican. I'm saying the GOP politicians who take money from billionaire donors know which side their bread is buttered on. Let me ask you a question. Why did the GOP go from acknowledging climate change in 2008 (when McCain ran) to where they are today, with a President who says it's a hoax and no one in the party willing to say otherwise? Here's an article that might help you understand the influence of money in politics.

As to your last extremely vague point, Google "income inequality" and check out the changes that have occurred in your own lifetime. Do you suppose that's because the 1% started working much, much harder and the 99% got much, much lazier? Or do you think there might be something else going on?

ETA: Whatever happened to THE RICH PAYING THEIR FAIR SHARE? When did it become GOVERNMENT NEEDS TO TAKE CARE OF THOSE WHO LEAST NEED HELP?

Yeah, they're smarter, much smarter than the poor.

Law of the Jungle. Only the strong survive. A stronger America is a better America.

How is a Country where some people work and work and work to get things, only to have the Government take some of those things and hand them to either people who choose to sit on their butts and do nothing or to an uncontrolled influx of people from other Countries, a good thing? Help the handicapped and others who truly need it, but not the freeloaders. That includes able-bodied people who think they're too good to work for $12 or $15 / hour, people who choose to come to this Country to live, and people who choose to drop-out of their free public education. People like that don't deserve to be handed anything.
