MIKE had the hot thread. He was a known commodity. EVERYBODY went there because it was the only place to get in the current discussion.

Other people had threads but they died mostly because they sucked.

I miss italyprof posting in this thread. And DoctorKz, too (I almost never agreed with him, but his posts were civil and sincere).

I guess it was inevitable once the thread was moved to Non Sports that it would become Mike-i-fied. Amazing how much influence one person, posting just a few hundred times a day, can have on the tone of a forum.
