I miss italyprof posting in this thread. And DoctorKz, too (I almost never agreed with him, but his posts were civil and sincere).

1. Homosexuality is a sin and needs to be societally condemned.

Last. If a human does NOT see it the "Christian Way" then our God has condemned them to a life in hell and thus we NEED to convert them to our way of thinking in order to save their souls.
Epitaph. How we Christians accomplish this "conversion" of these shameful, dumb, and unbelieving humans is unimportant. God is on our side in ANY conflict we enter as long as we invoke his name!

I'm no scholar BUT I suspect you can substitute the word Taliban for Christian in my little narrative (above) and it will still apply!

By plenty of people you mean approx. 20% OK. But what about the other 80%?

Let me put it this way if 80% of Jews thought the same way Muslims did I would no longer be a Jew. Of course Muslims cannot do that as apostasy in Islam is punishable but death. Please tell me in what other ideologies the majority aka over 1 billion people believe women are inferior and gays should be killed for being gay. In the KSA this year 19 people have been beheaded for being gay and more women stoned for alleged adultery. If this happened in the Vatican the people would be up in arms. Hypocritical society!

And posts like yours are part of the problem. While I am not going to vilify every Islam follower I am going to question them on whether they believe women are inferior to men and I bet you many would say, absolutely.

No Bob, my wife is a Catholic but she doesn't believe that adultery should be punished by death, that gays should be killed, that those who draw pics of Jesus should be killed. In fact Christianity is more of a peaceful religion these days and I am NOT Christian by the way. If the Vatican was beheading people for being gay or for adultery the world would be up in arms. KSA does this and we shrug. Also if someone wants to leave the faith, Christianity does not state kill that person, Islam does.

Enough walk in beauty talk. We need to look at what is really happening. While most Islamists are not violent extremists, most do believe that women are 2nd class citizens and should be treated as property. They follow Sharia Law and Pew Research points that out.
