WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The U.S. Republican presidential debate scheduled for next week in Utah has been canceled, two local news affiliates in Salt Lake City reported on Wednesday, after party front-runner Donald Trump earlier said he would not attend.

Fox13 and ABC's KUTV cited representatives for the Salt Palace Convention Center where the televised event was to be held. A representative for the center referred calls to Fox, which could not immediately be reached for comment.

In an interview on Fox News earlier on Wednesday, Trump said he would not attend the event, scheduled for March 21, as he thought the Republicans had "had enough debates."

Rival John Kasich said following Trump's decision that he would not attend the debate unless the front-runner changed his mind and decided to come.

Maybe if Kelly and a few others on that Network would STFU, they wouldn't keep getting embarrassed by Trump.

Hillary and the dems only wanted 4 but then she and loudmouth debbie blabbermouth schultz didn't like the way things were going so they added a couple more.

Hillary deoesn't care anymore because she only has one opponent and she has the backing of the media and super delegates so it's not even a race. The fix is in. If the dems had more debates it wouldn't matter. The supers are going to vote for Hill and there's no difference between them and THEY ONLY GET SOFTBALL QUESTIONS from the places these little mice dare come to. THEY WON'T GO ON FOX. But they love for the enemy (make no mistake…you are the enemy…more hated than isis or anything or anybody else on earth) they love the enemy to get tough debate questions on all the networks including FOX the sissy dems are to afraid to show up on.

The dems are a joke. I won't listen to a damn thing they say until they show up on a FOX debate. That will never happen.
