But an even more important question is....

What is the best riff to start a song? There can only be two correct answers.

KISS - Detroit Rock City
Audioslave - Revelations

It you have another response, you are probably a resident of 'motown.
Led Zep - Whole Lotta Love
Nugent - Stanglehold

I'll even throw a shout out to Soundgarden - Jesus Christ Pose

Lots of closeted residents of 'motown, I see.

Sweet Child O' Mine has a pretty sweet opening riff

Stranglehold is the best one I've heard mentioned so far... Hate to give that kind of credit to Tec, but he deserves it here.

Admittedly, several of those are better than Detroit Rock City but that's an homage to my youth. KISS is pretty kickass when you're 10. Not so much as you age.

Stranglehold is so good. Especially when the drums kick in.

If you're going with a Zeppelin song, Heartbreaker has to be up there. GNR Sweet Child O' Mine. Almost any Hendrix song (especially Red House). And I like Nirvana's In Bloom, but it's not really a riff, just a good tension building chord progression.

If he stays reasonably healthy for these last two seasons, A-Rod will almost certainly pass Ruth for 3rd all-time in HR (Ruth leads him now, 714-687).

I doubt A-Rod will catch Bonds for 1st -- he's 75 HR behind Bonds' 762, and I don't see him averaging 38 HR a season to pass him. But what if he hits, say, 50-60 HR in these two seasons, leaving him at 737-747? Assuming he's healthy, would he be tempted to come back for one season to try for the record?
Who cares? I once relished the day he'd get a shot but now it's like 'yawn'.
I'm rooting for him just to screw Bonds. The record was Bonds ultimate goal and is now his baby. I'd love to see that taken from him.
they are both ********..any particular reason you root for AROD over Bonds??
Where did I say I was rooting for A-Rod?
Alias alert?

I caught another alias just moments ago. All the aliases must have met for a liquid lunch and are blowing their covers.
