Surprise, surprise, Alex Rodriguez says he doesn’t know the MLB rulebook.

Yankees manager Joe Girardi protested Tuesday’s Opening Day loss to the Astros after he argued Carlos Correa interfered with Dellin Betances--whose throwing error on the play led to the go-ahead run.

Rodriguez was asked about the play after the game.

"I've never read a rulebook," A-Rod said. "I don't know anything about rules."

Perhaps if A-Rod had read a rulebook things may have turned out differently in his career.

To be fair, I doubt he's alone in not reading the rule book.

“I didn’t know that,” said Donovan McNabb, who played a leading role in keeping it tied. “I’ve never been part of a tie. I never even knew it was in the rule book. I was looking forward to getting the opportunity to get out there and try to drive to win the game. But unfortunately with the rules, we settled with a tie.”

Craig Calcantera had some good points on Twitter the last two days. Like it or not, ARod was one of the all-time best players. Hating him for the roids doesn't change that.
