orangepace -- I like that reverse WIS for league seeding. That'd make it pretty crazy for the first 5 years or so. I'll add that idea to the vote that'll come out!

genuvar, I would like bigger divisions, but I think it's more fun if you play everyone in your league. There will only be rare circumstances where you can't play everyone (27% of years where conference teams face each other). In that case, CC may decide it, or point differential. For the most part, we should be able to make it so everyone meets, especially if we get interest from all of the conferences (instead of being, say, OVC-heavy).

I like your idea for using head-to-head as a starting point (although it screws me over :) ). I will put that idea up to vote as well in the coming days.

hookemhorns--My bad, wish I would have thought of this sooner before a lot of people already scheduled non-conference for next year. We could potentially put you with conference teams that you know will play each other and still get you in. Save that last non-conf spot for now :)

Texas State would like to participate in this fun challenge as well. I already have Jacksonville State (husker111) and Alabama State (dalailama12) on my non conference schedule for 121. I will leave the remaining 3 slots open for whatever you come up with.

@Naskin - I already booked my schedule up too by accident. I'll happilly join in 122 and will join the lowest pod possible. Guess that's kind of the cool thing about this is that you can just add/subtract pods as interest grows/wanes.

I've been making a spreadsheet, and it looks like about 75% of the teams already have 4-5 teams scheduled. Which makes things pretty difficult to get going in Season 121 (we'd only have enough to start with 1-2 divisions, then the following year we'd be adding ~3-5 more divisions). We could possibly use head-to-head records from coaches involved in the promotion/relegation leagues THIS year to play for seeding for scheduling for season 122. Then next season, at the beginning of the season, we could immediately have everyone we need to schedule for non-conference in season 122. Thoughts??

Starting in season 122 makes more sense. Now everyone that wants to be involved knows to leave their non conference schedule open until you lay out the plan.
