Hey! My old thread! I implemented this strategy with some success over the past real life year or so in Phelan. My current Arizona team doesn't really have any high Per PFs, but here are some examples of high Per PFs and the different levels of success they had:
William Stone, 61 made 3s from the PF spot, 2nd team all-conference
Lee Burns, 111 made 3s from the PF spot, CPOY, 2nd team AA (one of my favorite guys, fascinating case study)
Michael Bustos (a failure to implement this strategy), only 12 made 3s his senior year
Vasily Zweier, 44 made 3s playing mostly PF, some SF (another really interesting case study, would have loved for him to stay 1 more year)
