I'm assuming ronblood will take over drafting his team again, so I guess I could pick here for interception under the usual circumstances...if he likes the pick and wants to take over drafting his team, GREAT. If not, I will take a 2nd team. I'm guessing with a name like "interception", he probably favors defense, so I will go with:

If he wants to change the pick when he signs on, he can do that as well

You know what...I just have to vent here. We started this draft on what, Tuesday night after midnight. Since then, we have had more owners take over 6-8 hours to make their pick than we have had owners being ready and picking within an hour or two. I keep thinking, "with all these delays and problems, this HAS TO be getting better....BUT IT'S NOT!!!

Has everyone just not gotten my original SM and not checked in on this draft thread once since we started??? That HAS TO be the explanation, cuz if they HAVE, they would have to know we have started and figured, "OK, they started drafting in that NFL draft league I signed up for...better check in a couple times a day now or send a proxy list or something"

If owners HAVE gotten their sitemails and/or checked in here, and STILL are taking 8-24 hours to make their 1st round picks, then dammit, they should NOT be in this league. That is just disrespect for me and for 23 other people. That is just laziness, not caring whatsever, and thumbing your nose at everyone else in this league. That is just saying "you know, my life is just far more important than 23 other peoples, and I don't give a **** if I inconvenience 23 other people by not making a pick in a timely manner"

I'm damn near ready to just shut this whole thing down right now and give up trying to do another one. My basketball drafts don't have this apathy problem! My baseball draft league does not have this problem! Neither does my hockey league....that league has trouble FILLING, but once it does, it doesn't have this problem. So WHY DOES THIS LEAGUE???

Everybody who has yet to pick better get their act together tomorrow, and I better hear from tonyvoss, interception, and anybody else who missed their pick and we haven't heard from yet, or I'm done with this league. I'm totally serious about this!

when I get to my round 2 pick sometime next week, someone please remind me who I took with my first pick. I think it was Neanderthal Nate, clubber of mammoths. His durability was iffy, but his stamina and accuracy were strong.
Amerk, I hear your frustration, but what are the benefits of "trying to do another one" if we can't find 24 prompt owners? Perhaps the pain of round 1 will be a faded distant memory once the season starts.
