The ratings aren't percentages; they're grades. 0 means he has no Contact skill, not that he went through high school/college without once making contact. Ozzie Smith would have been a 0 Power player, but hit a couple homers in one WS game. Adam Dunn might be a 0 Contact player. It doesn't mean he will hit .000. It means he is awful at making Contact — awful meaning he's as bad as any player has ever been at it.
