Yao Ming holds the record for highest 3 point shooting percentage with 96.2%. That means he hit (I assume) 25 out of 26 attempts. Not too shabby. What I would like to know is why WIS has a guy who shot one 3 point basket in real life attempt 26 in the simulated season.

Would it have anything to do with going to a 3 point offense if you're behind with six minutes left in the game?

It could, yes

It was apparently a glitch in the system a few years ago that they have now fixed. Ming and Elton Brand were unstoppable.

Okay, thanks. Steph Ming.

Midge, the guy that came up with the mad ast% teams was the one that came up with that. He called it "Six Minutes of Hell" and made sure all of his players were guys that barely shot any 3s and made them all (like ending a season 1/1). The way 3-pt offense used to work, it didn't recognize that a player wasn't likely to shoot many threes, it just took the highest perimeter/usg combo guy out there & he let loose... and since these guys hit 100% irl, they hit close to that in the sim. It was pretty genius, actually, but so ridiculously unrealistic...

...kind of like the State Farm concept.
