Schwarze and I are battling in $110m. One of us will face bigmc's team, that has a 42 game lead in his division...

I still have a shot at putting 5 into postseason. Trailing slainte by a game with my worn out $140 team...

A shameless plug for my 3 league Fall Tourney. 10 spots left. I was gonna run them one season at a time, but now I want to start them all at once, or perhaps a few days apart...is a mix of $100-140M themes...

Man, these last few days are going to be intense. I have three teams +/- 2 games from making the playoffs. If they all miss, I could easily miss making it to round 2, despite being in the top 7 overall in wins (see my division analysis for how this is possible). In the last two cycles, these three teams are a combined 2-4, with four 1-run losses.

I do have some easier opponents coming, so hopefully, I don't pull a Jtpsops.
Went 3-3 in the pm2 session, so of course, the three teams battling for a playoff spot all lose. The average record of my opponent in those three losses 72-84. I'm sure Jtpsops would have some colorful comments to make.

My $70M mess that began 3-16 reeled off 11 in a row to move out front. Hang on guys! Stay on the track!

Lemme know if it happens to you for two weeks straight.

Outstanding pm2 cycle for me: a well-timed schwarze, pushing my $70M magic number to 2 courtesy of a Greg Maddux no-no. $100M started a wild-card push too late, but it's nice to see them think they still have a chance.

I haven't had two division winners since 2009 - neither of those teams made it out of the LDS. Hoping this time will be different.

Congrats to The Professor on the no-no...

1-5 this morning. The nightmare scenario is close to occurring where all three of my near playoff teams fail to make it. I'm almost rooting for it now. Averaging 91+ wins per team in round 1 and missing round 2 would be way more memorable than barely sneaking in to round 2 and finishing something like 17th overall.

The funny thing is that I could still get 5 playoff teams in, and if they do surprisingly well in the playoffs, I could also be ranked in the top 3 going into round 2.

So with 5 games to go, I could finish Round 1 ranked anywhere between 3rd and 26th.

Here's hoping you pull a jtpsops and lose out on all your near-playoff teams.

Ironically, my '44 Cardinals team (80M theme) that started 30-15 is on a nice 14-3 run to end the season. That's 44-18. Unfortunately, they went 38-57 during the middle part of the season. 82 wins (with 5 games to play) isn't too shabby (much better than ozomatli's 44 Cardinals), although I wonder how many wins they'd have if the other three teams in my division didn't currently have 89, 89 and 85 wins.

1 definite playoff team, 2 probables, and a maybe... Sitting in 35th place. Three first places, two seconds, and a third. Probably not enough to jump 12 spots, but overall, better than I anticipated for my second ride, so I'll take it! (Pleasantly surprised by my $70m team, but my $255m was a disaster... But I never play high caps, so it really was like throwing darts at a board...blindfolded.)

With 5 games left, I could end up having anywhere from 4 division winners and 1 wildcard to having 1 division winner and 0 wildcards.

I think your math is wrong, ozomatli. You're a lock to make the playoffs in the 70M, 140M & 255M themes.

I currently have 3.5 playoff teams. two locks (including a 100-win wildcard team), one that's +1 game ahead, one that's tied and one that's -1 game out. I guess that means, on average, I should have 3 playoff teams and get one tie-breaker game for a possible fourth team.
