I guess this is a good time to point out that 100-win teams went 6-12 in the first round (and that includes my 100 win team which upset bigmc's 108-win team).

Meanwhile, playoff teams that won 82 or fewer games went 4-4 in the first round.

Same thing happened to me at $90M last year. This is the second straight year I've had a team with 100+ wins lose 3-1 in the first round. The only WS team I've had in a WISC was 85-77 in the regular season.

What's the record for playoff points in a single round? Doctorcc has yet to have a blemish

And I fully expected to upset one of those 100 win teams, having gone 8-4 vs them in the regular season, but it didn't happen. When you think an upset is likely, it doesn't happen. When you think it's not gonna happen, it does.

My 103-win $140 mil team is eliminated, but I've had three teams clinch WS spots already. Even my Rollinsy $80 mil team is alive at the moment. Quite the unexpected ride.

Regarding asufan04, when I did the first 1-run game analysis, he was off the charts good in 1-run games. Obviously, regression to the mean played it's hand.

Ya, my teams were running way too hot early on, especially my $70 mil team. They were really carrying the load. Started out 23-4.
They finished with 91 wins but still missed the playoffs. That, coupled with my $80 mil team winning 89 games and losing the tiebreaker for the playoffs certainly hurt as well.
