When the options are Sanchez and McElroy, it doesn't make them idiots. They know what was on the field, they'd rather have what wasn't. Which is why I said Tebow had to play for a team with a defined #1.
And my point is that Tebow wasn't good enough to beat out McElroy to be Mark Sanchez's backup. What makes you think he's good enough to be a serviceable backup now?
So you're saying Rex Ryan is a QB expert?
I'd probably trust him over you.

Mike is a QB whisperer.

He definitely has more experience in ruining QB careers.

Last week Tebow, 29, went 6 for 21 (.286) with two walks and five strikeouts in six games.

Mets have discussed promoting Tim Tebow within the minors. He's hitting .327 over his last 16 games.

They kind of have to if they're really serious about this Tebow-in-baseball experiment (if it really was just a publicity stunt then it really doesn't matter). He's surprised me and a lot of other people by being a good sport, riding the team bus, and living the relatively uncomfortable Minor League life happily enough. And he's played pretty well. If he were 20 and performing this well you might let him spend a few more months, or even the whole season, at the level and progress at an age-appropriate rate, depending on how you viewed his ceiling. But in Tebow's case, being so old, in order to have any chance at making it to The Show before he's way past his prime he'd have to advance quickly. He's shown he can hit and hit for power in the Sally League. Time to see how he does in the FSL.

Giving baseball a shot. Will he get as much irrational hate as he did in football?
Yes, he will.

No hate. What's irrational is the people saying he's a real prospect.
