Guide to the New HD 3.0 release Topic

Maybe I missed this topic, but how is the SIM determining what My Teams play style is? Tough Defense, perimeter offense, ect.?

Okay, I found this:

Play Style: (Strong defense, Paint Offense, Perimeter Offense) Strong Defense based on points allowed per possession.

So Paint offense, Perimeter offense is determined by the # of 3's taken? And is only for the current season?

Any time in the 2nd session. Kinda of random if it's in the beginning of 2nd session or end.

Does the letter grade given to a player have any meaning? Seen 5 stars with a "B" and 4 stars with an "A"

You mean their Overall rating? It's basically just the same thing as the individual rating. I'm not sure what it is exactly it is.. maybe B is around 700 and A is around 800?

I think it's a letter grade reflection of your self-made position ratings. Meaning if "A" was 80-100 then the your rating for that player falls in that range.

So the “second” session of recruiting (when lower division teams can start signing higher division players), begins after the second season starts? So if you’re waiting on those higher division players, you could go into Season 2 with no recruits signed?

Hello, can somebody tell me why I only have 5 openings for recruiting? I believe that with 5 seniors and a walk-on I should have 6.

Looks like George Roberts was a non-qualifier his 1st season. So he will be coming back for a 5th year.

if you're the only 'very high' for a recruit whose preference is End of Period 1 with 4-5 very lows, is there any expectation of when this recruit will sign? Not sure if it's the same as 2.0 where you can expect them to sign right after the signing period starts , or if I should keep some cash reserved in case It takes a bit longer and others try to hop on.

End of Period 1 means by the end of period 1. It really does mean what it says. So if you're VH and have offered a scholly and all others are moderate or low. Then he will sign with you at the end.

However, it could be sooner. Seble described the signing process as each recruit having a % chance of signing in each cycle which will increase each cycle. So in the 3rd to last cycle, this particular player may have a 50% chance to sign. Then 2nd to last cycle he may have a 70% chance to sign that cycle. Then on the last cycle, it will be 100%. This is of course if he has a qualifying offer (scholly offer and has an interest level of at least High by 1 team).

You also need to keep an eye on the other teams, because if they have offered a scholarship, they could go all in and pass you right before the guy ends up signing.
