The Recruiting season is too long Topic

It was not part of the game that needed to be fixed.

Disagree. I like having the extra couple days to sort out gameplanning, depth charts, practice, etc. and fill my last couple roster spots. A week is a good amount of time.

As the instigator that I am , I agree with both of you .

Personally I feel that they could shave off a couple of days in recruiting and I would not miss them.

The problem is, if you want to keep recruiting starting on the same day that they would have to add days elsewhere like the job change period.

add more exhibition or regular season games

Or just bring back the test button feature and have three "dead days." It would be nice to test gameplans with the new recruits on the roster and have a couple of days to figure things out before the season starts.

The test feature was before my time. It sounds like a fantastic idea.

Test feature? Is that like setting up scrims whenever you feel like it within a specified window? That would be great for sorting out gameplans, etc.

The Test Feature helped me get some of my Best GP set it one thing that should have stayed.

The test feature was part of the open beta for version 3.0 - it allowed you to sim a game as many times as you want. It was taken out because there were fears that it would let you "spy" on your opponents' game plans, if i recall correctly.

Would love to see it re-implemented, perhaps with the other team's game plans restricted to the default ones provided by WIS.

I think that would be a cool feature. It would be great if they put it in and allowed a max number of simulations, say like 4 or 5 to represent practices for the imaginary week before games.

I'm ok with the length of recruiting, but I think it would be better if we extended the cycles from every 3 hours to every 4 or 6 hours.
Might be able to get some sleep during recruiting!
Also it would be good if signings were added to the roster once they actually sign so they can be used in more exhibition games.
Test feature sounds interesting.
Would also be good to have summary historical stats on effectiveness of plays vs run or poss defenses, e.g. avg yards gained, to help game planning.

i know this an old post but the "testing" feature seems like a great idea. Has anyone ever got an response from WIS about upgrading recruiting?
