For those of you moving on from hoops dynasty, what's next for computer game entertainment?

I honestly can't find anything out there, although I primarily searched for basketball games. I'm interested in hearing if there are any other suggestions.

WIS has a monopoly.
Which is the precise reason they can get away with product support and customer service like they do.

I have thought of trying Hardball dynasty... anyone enjoy that WIS product?

Rocket Hockey League. Rocket League, but with a puck. In a league.

I'm team captain for Team Ouroboros.

Specifically, for College Basketball .. there is this product:

http://www.fbbgames.com/fbcb2/index.htm

You can create on line leagues.

Not a lot of leagues still out there that Isee, but I see one called NCAA53:

https://sites.google.com/site/ncaa53us/home

No idea if they are still active or not. They are part of SimNation:
http://simnation.net/

I once did GDCFL there.

As others have said, there is very little choice. But there must also be very little demand or there would be another site (or sites).

will WIS retain email contacts and let people know in 14 months when they roll out Classic HD?

I tried Fastbreak college basketball before I switched to a Mac - it does not work on a Mac, and unless I am mistaken, there is not an online option where you compete against other real people. The other issue I had was that I kind of remember it crashing - not a lot, but I think I remember it happening a couple of times.

You can complete on line against real people .. but they have to start a league and maintain a download file. You grab it once a day (or ever how often they generate it) and import it. you also export your changes afterwards.

It is a huge PITA, but it is workable.

And yes, it requires a version of Windows to work. Mac or Linux users must have a Windows VM running to run the executable.

Overall not a hugely enjoyable experience .. but it is college basketball with recruiting, etc.

Its a good game but does have a steep learning curve. There really isn't much that is complicated (like WTF is an attention freaking point) it is just you are managing a lot of info.

One strength it has is that baseball probably is the sport that translates the best to game form.

It gets easier once you realize that 95% of your minor league players will never have any shot at the majors and are just filler that can be ignored.

my reluctance has always been the learning curve. in hoops, it seems like the player ratings aren't as overwhelming. but every time I've looked at Hardball, it seems like so many ratings to assess. but, with dropping all my teams except 1 in Hoops, maybe I'll have some time to try it.
