Any more details on who lost the battle? and how much the losers spent?

And this was early in the 1st cycle. I mean seriously if this was A+ Ucla then yeah but no top 100 recruit should sign with anyone not in the "elite" categories 1st cycle.

Disagree with that statement, but do you have any details?

In real life Rick Stansberry has 2 top 50 players committed at Western Kentucky.

" Any more details on who lost the battle? " Two sims, at Low and Very Low interest. No other humans even bid on the guy.

Congrats to UC Santa Barbara. Well done.

There was no battle... I can see him, he is not great. He is very, very good but not #3 in the country.

This is odd but I'm not sure it's bad. The UCSB coach is running a good program and he has 5 openings, so lots of APs to devote.

Let us know if a D2 signs a top 100 player.

If no other humans even tried to recruit him, then why not let UCSB sign him? I don't know about the well done part because if he was just battling Sims it shouldn't have been that difficult, especially with 5 openings. Seems like the other coaches dropped the ball on this one.

People get too caught up with rankings, much like looking at the overall number for a player. And emy has a good point. Nobody else went after him. That's on the other coaches. UC Santa Barbara grabbed an early signer- good for them.

Realism in a text based game? I must admit that I am completely biased after trying to be successful with Texas, San Antonio for many seasons. I love the idea that I can sign an elite player now.

I don't think it's a bad thing either. I think this type of signing also will help maintain users. Plus, it wasn't a secret that they were on them - everyone can see the top 100. It looks like in most cases that the normal elite teams are still getting good recruits, but it's nice to see other teams getting into the mix. Should be very interesting to see what develops after a few years.
