seble
After more than 16 years at WhatIfSports, seble recently departed. He was a key part of our team since the very beginning and he will be sadly missed. It wasn't the verbal abuse from a small, vocal minority of HD coaches that drove him off, though. (We've all grown some pretty thick skin over the years and have developed the ability to cut through profanity and insults to pinpoint actual issues). Company buyouts were offered earlier in the year and, as a long-time employee, seble qualified and opted to depart but not before completing and staying on to verify what we believe is an incredible update to Hoops Dynasty.

HD is now in the dedicated hands of two veteran WIS employees: redhawk_514 and cwisniewski. Both have been competitively playing HD for years and served key roles in the 3.0 upgrade. The transition has been months in the making, so both are excited to take the reins and continue to improve the game. Both will become much more active in the forums moving forward.

Following today and Friday's dev chats, we'll continue to work on smaller features and fixes stemming from the 3.0 rollout. Next up will be a complete overhaul of the Jobs process.

Seble Departure FAQ
Expected Comment: seble left, the game is going under.
Reaction: redhawk_514 and cwisniewski are very motivated to make HD better than ever before. They’ll be communicating with users in the forums to listen to suggestions, discuss ideas, etc. so that the 3.0 version of the game will continue to improve.

Expected Comment: seble finished the update and then bolted. What a jerk.
Reaction: this couldn’t be further from the truth. Seble was fully committed and actually stayed on extra time to help make sure the upgrade went smoothly. The timeframes were known well in advance so that the beta period, upgrade and game ownership transition would go smoothly.

Marketing
Shortly after the final two worlds upgrade to 3.0, we will begin a marketing campaign to drive new owners into the game. This will involve both the WhatIfSports and FOX Sports properties. We have a great game that is now available to play on any device and is easier for newcomers to comprehend and enjoy. Combine this with our helpful, veteran user base and we should expect to see fuller worlds with greater competition than ever before.
