To be fair and see both sides of the coin, we'd need to see what prompted it, too.

No, we wouldn't. Not everybody is nearly so compulsive about defending WIS as you are. At the end of the day, there is never an excuse for CS to take that kind of attitude towards a customer. To an extent I can understand some slip-ups in vocal media situations (IE face-to-face or phone conversations) with a particularly frustrating customer. But it's much easier to step back and breathe if necessary over a typed digital medium like customer communications at WIS. There's absolutely no excuse for bad customer relations here aside from the fact that WIS has been demonstrating poor customer relations motivation and skill since the FOX buyout.
