...do to get fired?

I'm guessing he was an *******.

going out on a limb, aren't you?

Or he slipped Stanton some "cream".

Stanton use? I thought that was all natural.

So apparently the clubhouse didn't like him, Mike Stanton didn't like him, and one of the ways he liked to work with tape was to show the players tape of him swinging the bat.

That's like Micheal Jordan showing highlights of himself too is Charlotte players, and saying "here play like this."

So playing like Michael Jordan would be a bad thing?

How many players you know can play like Michael Jordan? Some standards simply cannot be met. You think mothafuckas can put away a case of Natty Ice like DougOut? **** no. So why would you set the bar that high?

Yup. Not only was he an ******* but he stopped working.

Which is interesting, because after Fernandez died, there was a whole segment on how Fernandez embraced Barry, and Barry helped the team keep loose in the dugout during games.

I just don't see how a multi-millionaire former player - one who may have been the best player ever (at least one of the most talented players ever) - could have much patience with lesser players.

True. This is why I've always thought Ripken wouldn't make a good manager. I can't see him having the patience for young players, given the dedication and work ethic he played with.

And the 'roiding makes you angry.

Lets be clear though - Ripkin is a lot closer talent wise to rank and file MLBers that Bonds is.

Bonds = Jordan/Montana/Gretzky territory. Best of the best.

Ripkin = 'One of the best". Translation: HOF stats accumulator at a weaker position he probably shouldn't have been at 9 years into his career.
