I'm currently in a bidding war for a IFA and he is flat our rejecting my offers with an X rather than accepting the offer and saying it isnt enough.. I bid him up to the point where nobody else can beat my offer. Do I need to change the type of contract? He hasnt requested a different contract but he is a 20yr old so maybe he wants a ML deal? I've never had this happen before..

I've never been able to get an IFA to sign a BL contract. Is that even a thing?

I have. But - I'm trying to remember this correctly - I think he actually asked for a BL deal. Not sure if that makes a difference.

I went right to BL contract on Player Profile: Paco Trevino without him asking for it, you have to do it as exactly 327,000 x3.

Sometimes they do ask for BL, you have to check in the bottom right corner whether they're asking for minor league contract, minor league + ST invite, or major league

Thanks all I'll give it a shot.

Wait so its always 327 X 3? Not 4 or more?

Yeah it's three. And there is a catch, as a player with a BL contract he immediately goes on your 40-man roster.

Still if it gives you an edge.

This is crazy.. I've offered $1M over the max any other owner can offer..

I offered a standard minor league deal and a minor league deal with an invite and I get this message...
I don't want to be booed out of the stadium for not living up to the expectations. If you think you can afford the money, try adjusting the length of the contract and/or the contract type.

I offered a ML deal (you must offer 3 years at $327) and I get this message..
While I'm flattered with the long-term offer, all I'm looking for is a 1-year deal. If given the chance to prove myself, I'm sure my financial future will be a bit brighter than the long-term offer you've made. Offer me one year and I'll take it.

If you're absolutely certain you're offering more than anyone can match, do the minor league wI think ST and the max amount for a bonus. Then you'd have to win.

Unless you're not telling us something you did or didn't do with those offers, I can't make sense of this.

10/7/2016 11:35 AM
i copy and pasted everything..
10/7/2016 11:40 AM
I've never seen a IFA reject an offer.. It usually sits there and you're not leading, you then have to withdraw and increase your offer. You can see how that was working in my 1st three offers
