14. mikee1 - D. Rodman, Manu Ginobili, Tracy McGrady, Andrew Bogut, Terrell Brandon, M. Gortat, J. Pryzbilla

this is gonna be one of the top teams in the league. mikee does it again. Quick Draw and Babalooie (remember that cartoon? haha),. this is a team built upon a fundamental understanding of how things work together, not separately. manu and mcgrady comprise exactly 1.5 terrorizing players. a perfect amount, then the cool down. just like how gortat and bogut are built. then you have a 3200 min rodman. pryz, (no matter what season is chosen), delivers high dreb%. this team is built upon halves. 3 offensive screamers, 3 big quiet giants. 3 guys who shoot 3's, and three who do not. 3 dimers and 3 who do not, 3 boardmen and 3 who don't. Terrell Brandon is such a good fit here. he is a mirror image of t-mac and manu. none have great fg%, but all have enough outside potency to make come backs or generate big leads. rodman is what keeps everything working because of that amazing oreb% he carries and knowledge of where the ball will be, not where it's at. like ash, not an overabundance of anything, but everything above average. I'm becoming a believer of this kind of system. playoff prediction: Yes

13. eleibowitz - Larry Bird, O. Robertson, A. Kirilenko, Emeka Okafor, Lamar Odom, Chris Mullin, Cole Aldrich

I have been waiting anxiously to evaluate this team, to have that size 13 foot inserted into my mouth, but I do not think I am wronmg. for as good as this team is, it just isn't that good. bird and Oscar, for as good as they are separately, they are not conducive to winning as a duo. why? because odom and mullin are whusses. haha. I do not like either of the late picks, perhaps for other top two drafts picks, but not bird or Oscar. what the hell happened to symmetry, continuity and chemistry? like I said before, eleibowitz's always befuddles me on paper, and then proves me wrong in league play. but not this time. kirilenko is not enough to bail out water on this sinking ship. cole Aldrich is a solid 6th round pick. well done there, but this TITANIC was caused by the iceburgs mullin and odom. playoff prediction: No

12. scudmissle - Kevin Durant, D. Mutombo, Marques Johnson, Pau Gasol, A. English, Brent Price, Art Williams

would someone like to do this eval for me? (anyone except eleibo, haha) I posted this squad on page 6 or 7. brent price (top season) and 71-72 art Williams, excellent efg% (in harmony with the others efg%), both with 25% dimes,

takin' a break. gettin' tired. late. will continue in a few hours

10/15/2016 3:33 PM
yeah, what happened to that rule?
10/15/2016 3:44 PM
oh yeah. it doesn't exist anymore. it was there up until recently, but Sly killed it.

It is, perhaps, fair to say that if a team grows amongst better teams, it is not perceived to be as good as it thinks it is.

That's not the case with this one.....or is it?

The most beautiful thing about KD (and there are many) is that he shoots 3's. He uses over 30% Usg, which is always great, but he shoots 3's, which is rare for someone with that usage. In this case, he costs less than $8m, making him a truly absurd value and a much better value for the ODL than he was prior to 15-16.

That's a fun Pau season. He definitely fits my style: above average D, above average efficiency, above average rebounding, below average fouls and turnovers.

Truthfully, though, this is a league stacked with defensive squads. You're only average at defense. You don't have that many 3's, despite Durant. As for assists, you have an average percentage.

Is this enough to get you into the playoffs? Sure. Will the average defense hurt you? A little, yeah. Are there teams as efficient as yours? Certainly.

What separates you from benhoidal's team, or beachhouse's team, or my team, or 98's team, or......take your pick? Truthfully, not that much. You have more FTA's than some of those teams, but that effect might get negated by Durant and English's TO's. Pau won't see the ball enough to affect your TO rate because Durant and English will turn it over before he ever has a chance not to mess it up.

I'm comfortable enough to say you're in the mix, but not comfortable enough to see you above it. Playoff prediction: sure, why not

Actually like my team very much 35/97 rebounding is just fine in ODL. Plus Odom gives me assists to put my total above 80 and gets me salary relief to fill my bench with quality. But again I could go down in flames

We will see

put it back in for the next iteration (or at least put it up for vote) - the whole point of drafting a team, is to draft a team

I'll 2nd that proposal.
I haven't done one of these for a while and just figured that was still a rule, as it always had been.
Pretty big change, that IMO really makes no sense.
