is it possible to keep your players from taking that little hit at the end of season/beginning of new season? I could have a player who is 28/29 be an 87 in the first season then come back an 86

Push your training up to $20m, that may help.

But decline is part of the natural aging process for players, and all players start to decline at different ages.
