I think that's the point of the 3.0 change Shoe3. There are lots of approaches and strategies to recruiting and it also depends on your opponent. So far, the most important thing to start with is a recruit you match up with well preference wise. I found if the recruit is a good match, the roll seems to go in my favor. In the end, there is also a little luck and mystery. Some find that bad and some don't. I have seen some coaches approach it with the idea they will find 2-3 recruits for a spot, get to high and hopefully Very high and don't max out. This way they are in the running for 3 recruits and hope to win the flip on 1 of them. Others went all in with no backup options because the recruit was a great preference match.

60% of recruits are signing Very High vs no competition? Sounds like you guys are burying the actual lead story about the new HD that was all about battles and competition...
lol 67% now

I don't think you can gather accurate data on H v VH after a recruit has signed. I've now had 2 kids that I was moderate on, stopped recruiting them, had them sign with VH schools, and AFTER the kid signed I went from moderate to high with zero additional effort from me.

Was this for your D2 school attempting to recruit a D1 division recruit? If so, the recruit would show only as "moderate" but in actual effort, you can be at a higher level (which would then show up once he signed).

No. Both were my D1 teams. In both cases I battled another school for a bit and after getting knocked down from high or very high back to moderate more than once I saw the writing on the wall and stopped putting in effort.

Did you ever send in a ticket on this? What are the recruits names? Maybe someone will see this and look in to it.

Unfortunately, I never really cared enough to send a ticket. Both were in Tark, but I've since dropped that team and don't remember names. One kid signed with Pitt (was a G from TX, I remember that much), but I don't remember anything about the other one.

I sent a ticket with names for them to review

Above are the players I pulled for the stats on page 1. Let me know if you think there are issues with how WIS is showing the battles (or lack of battles)
10/15/2016 6:12 PM
@mullycj : Thanks for taking the time to track this. We do need to make sure that the probabilities are working as intended, regardless of whether or not we agree that the intended way is good or bad.
10/16/2016 8:02 AM
You are welcome.

I AM surprised at the lack of battles of showing up and do wonder if the data at the time of signings is being shown correctly. I know the data for the 3 battles I have been in is correct but do not know about others.
10/16/2016 9:05 AM
I'm also surprised there are not more battles in the top 100, though I do expect those to increase as more players get use to the new system. I suspect there is still a bit of self-limitation going on.

Of course, if the worlds experience significant depopulation among the high D1 levels, that will affect battling as well.
